Red-Raspberry-Seed-Oils

Why does the colour of our Facial Moisturiser (the ‘natural Botox’ one) change?

Regular users of our Facial Moisturiser may have noticed that recent batches have been ranging from almost pure white to a creamy yellow over recent weeks.

It is nothing to be alarmed about and is, in fact, a sign of how fresh and natural each batch is. The video below explains in more detail, but it is simply a change in the colour of the raw cold pressed Red Raspberry Seed oil we use in the formulation.

We purchase new, fresh oil for each batch we make in our lab in Aylesbury, which is generally a weekly affair, sometimes twice weekly when demand is extra high. The oil that we source, depending on the growing conditions, strain of raspberry involved and the idiosyncrasies of the extraction process, can vary in colour from a pale, almost clear hew to a deep amber/red tone. This change has a knock on effect on the finished product, the darker the constituent oil the more yellow the finished cream.

It doesn't affect the efficacy or consistency of the moisturiser in any way. There is a school of thought that the darker the oil the stronger the natural SPF effect, but we have investigated this claim and there is no formal scientific information to back this up.

All we can say is it is exactly the same product, with all the benefits that involves, just a little yellower.
